After the great house music depression in 2003 I had to shut down Glasgow Underground as a distributor had royally stiffed us for an enormous amount of cash. I was completely skint and took to playing Thursday to Saturday in a 30-something pick-up club in Glasgow. I knew my brief; 70s/80s classics, 90s cross-over dance & noughties R&B hits. The manager, however, thought they were a much cooler club than they were and if I played the same records too often (even if the dance floor was full) they got pissed. Difficult gig! I took to editing pop tracks at this point to try and put a fresh spin on things and "Move Ya Body" was always one of my favourites to play (perfect tempo to segue between house & r&b!). Since we've been re-recording classic vocals I've been desperate to do this with a heavy house beat. Here it is!
